Ahlers wants to further develop its activities in the Business Unit “High Value Logistics” and is looking for a key account manager ( m/f) to support our growth.

The key account manager will support customers helping them conquer new markets and increase their market share. He/she will be responsible for building and maintaining strong and strategic customer relationships, anticipating the client’s needs.

Key Account Manager Duties and Responsibilities
• Anticipate key account changes, pro-actively drive improvements to help resolve customer challenges.
• Manage communication and relations with key customer stakeholders and internal teams
• Translate industry trends into opportunities
• Become a trusted advisor to our clients
• Establishing and overseeing internal company budgets and external budgets with the client
• Collaborate with other Business Units to maximize profit by up-selling or cross-selling
• Plan, develop and present reports on account progress, goals, and quarterly initiatives to share with relevant stakeholders, and possible use in future case studies or company training
• Expand relationships and bring in new clients and partners
• Regular travel within Europe and CIS, less frequent to Asia


Key Account Manager Requirements and Qualifications
• Master’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, economy, or relevant field; proven track record in sales, project management, key account management, or relevant experience
• Entrepreneurial, Goal-oriented, well organized and solid team player
• Ability to mentor, motivate and lead
• Excellent networker and negotiator
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must be a listener, a good presenter, and a people-person
• Good computer skills and experience with CRM software, Microsoft Office
• Language skills: Business proficiency in English is mandatory. Knowledge of Dutch and Russian are a plus
